Act in a Performance
In the second term, all grade 10 students must get in groups and learned a Christmas song. And we needed to perform to classmates with acts and excellent singing. Our group’s song was , and because we did a wonderful job in it, so we had a chance to performed it in the New Year’s concert.
We were very confused with this decide when Ms.Bartell told us. Because we fell bashful to act in such a big performance. But we agreed this advice at once when Ms.Bartell said that it can plus one mark in Planning Class and this experience can be a part of Portfolio. So we changed the style that we acted in class, in order to let it became better. First, we needed to change the acts in it and the positions of everyone in order to make the audiences see it clearly. Then, we practiced our song and tried our best to let it became perfect. And Wendy would play the piano accompaniment for us.As time goes on, the deadline of this performance came. In the rehearsal, we knew the stage’s generally. And we decided to wear white clothes together. We were the second group that came on the stage from the all grade 10 Christmas song groups. Even though we had a accompaniment with, it was in a low voice that we could not listened to it very well. And we were all very nervous. We even forgot to show the acts to audiences. Finally, the show was ended. And I think I gained some experiences from it. It is never getting nervous on the stage, or you will be in trouble.

Participate In A Service Activity Organized By A GCA Teacher
Because our fundraising raise the most amount of money in our class. So on Friday, Peter and me could went with Ms.Bartell and other students that from grade 10 to Aid Foundation. In order to represent our classmates to chose our own children.
There was an old building that I liked it very much, it gave me a special feeling. When we came to here, there was a volunteer help us to found the records of these kids. This volunteer was very old; she was so kinds that prefer to work in this kind of work that without pay. These kids were all primary students. And our class’s money could help children for fifteen years. But it is so long, so I and Peter decided to help fewer kids in order to help them graduate from primary school. These kids were so poor and pitiful. The records of their families were all very needy. I think if we did not choose him or her, maybe his/her destiny can not change. So it made ma and Peter confused and hard to choose. Finally, we chose six kids to help them graduate from primary school, and they will post their marks to us every year with their artwork and photos.
There are still many kids that waiting for help, and they just need 160RMB for a year. So I want to save my own pocket money to help a kid by myself. And there is a chance to do volunteer work in Yunan during the summer holidays. I will consider this chance and be a volunteer here possibly.

Go To a Performance
On Monday, April 27th, we had a fashion show performance after school in school’s courtyard at 6:00 p.m. Because grade 10 must design some kinds of fashionable clothes for their own model. Our group chose to make clothe for Ms.Bartell. We spent so much time on it, so we were very expected it. I came to their with my roommates at about 6:30 p.m.
As time goes on, the show started. Firstly, the four MC introduced this show enthusiastic. The first model was Mr. Gallinelli and his daughter. They were all wear the clothes that designed by grade 10. His daughter’s name is Miya; she is so cute that she did not afraid of crowd and cameras. She seemed to be happy with it. The second roll was usual party clothes; every model was very beautiful and very different from their common styles. But not every models were confident, maybe some of them just shy. The third roll was uniform clothes; I think the designer must really tried their best in it, because the clothes were very amazing. I think it was more beautiful than GCA’s uniform. Wow! Then, there were coming the teachers. The most two wonderful ideas were Mr.Buteler and Mr.Shapoo’s clothes. Their clothes were so funny that attracted every audience’s eyes. I like them very much, because I like this kind of clothes. The last roll was normal party clothes, the models were all rigged out in their best.
It seemed that every group was satisfied with their designs. I think Ms.Bartell was so beautiful on the fashion show. It represented that our group was successes. In a word, I was really enjoyed this show!

My Club experience 2
During the 3rd term, I chose to do the volunteer work in the China Telecom Company. I think it was helpful to my future, because I wanted to know more information about it. So I chose to work in the community to exercise me. My work was mainly about hand out the leaflets to some passers that interested in this.
At the first, I was very excited and curious about this work because I want to work in Telecom Company when I graduate from university. So it can help me to know some detail about this kind of work. During the work time, I learned many experiences from them. They were very effort to their job, and they were really worked together, they helped each others in order to let their work became more and more excellent. I think I gained a kill which was I can know whether the passer curious about this service through their emotion and acts. It was useful to me.
In the first day, I did not know anything about this kind of work and this kind of service. I had no idea with it. At the first, there were an older man taught me how to do this work well. At the beginning, I was very shy that I was afraid of talk to strangers. But I must talk to the customers, so I practiced to talk to them. After one day’s work, I had much more process on getting close to strangers. On the second day, because I gained some experiences about it, so I did better than the first day. Finally, even though I was a little shy to the strangers when I finished my volunteer job, I really processed it. And knew much more information about The Telecom Company’s service, and I think I can help my family to choose the most cheapest way to pay for the telephone.
I think this work should required wonderful reaction, and eloquence ability in order to convince others. Our group’s project was to give some special service in the community in order to make the customers know some worth services. Usually, the passers were interested in this. Somehow, they were afraid of this kind of service, maybe they just worried whether we would fraud their money. So our job was to try our best to close to them, and let them trust.
After the 10 hours’ work, I changed my future goal. I think work in Telecom Company is not comfortable for me. Because I think I am afraid to communicate to strangers. But I will change this bad habit in the future; it is not useful to me. Usually, the people that easy-going and open are more easily finish their job well and faster. Actually, I hope I will have much more chance to do my volunteer work in this kind of company. It can practice me and I can learn some skill from it in order to decide my future goal well.
