My Club experience 2

During the 3rd term, I chose to do the volunteer work in the China Telecom Company. I think it was helpful to my future, because I wanted to know more information about it. So I chose to work in the community to exercise me. My work was mainly about hand out the leaflets to some passers that interested in this.
At the first, I was very excited and curious about this work because I want to work in Telecom Company when I graduate from university. So it can help me to know some detail about this kind of work. During the work time, I learned many experiences from them. They were very effort to their job, and they were really worked together, they helped each others in order to let their work became more and more excellent. I think I gained a kill which was I can know whether the passer curious about this service through their emotion and acts. It was useful to me.
In the first day, I did not know anything about this kind of work and this kind of service. I had no idea with it. At the first, there were an older man taught me how to do this work well. At the beginning, I was very shy that I was afraid of talk to strangers. But I must talk to the customers, so I practiced to talk to them. After one day’s work, I had much more process on getting close to strangers. On the second day, because I gained some experiences about it, so I did better than the first day. Finally, even though I was a little shy to the strangers when I finished my volunteer job, I really processed it. And knew much more information about The Telecom Company’s service, and I think I can help my family to choose the most cheapest way to pay for the telephone.
I think this work should required wonderful reaction, and eloquence ability in order to convince others. Our group’s project was to give some special service in the community in order to make the customers know some worth services. Usually, the passers were interested in this. Somehow, they were afraid of this kind of service, maybe they just worried whether we would fraud their money. So our job was to try our best to close to them, and let them trust.
After the 10 hours’ work, I changed my future goal. I think work in Telecom Company is not comfortable for me. Because I think I am afraid to communicate to strangers. But I will change this bad habit in the future; it is not useful to me. Usually, the people that easy-going and open are more easily finish their job well and faster. Actually, I hope I will have much more chance to do my volunteer work in this kind of company. It can practice me and I can learn some skill from it in order to decide my future goal well.

My volunteer experience

Volunteer is a selfless work. It represents work for public and without a pay. This winter holidays, I did some volunteer work. I did some clean work for community. Although it was very tired, I felt happiness and enrich from it.
The first day I came here, the worker here, he named Mr.Li gave me a big broom and dustpan. Then he told me: Then let us begin! At that time, I did not understand him, because I did not know how to do and what to do. I seldom did housework in my home. So he only could teach me how to clean. He said if you want to clean this rubbish thorough, you must be interested in it. But I felt nervous and lose face, so I did not pay attention to this work and I felt bored from it soon. Mr.Li seemed to know something different but he did not say any word.
The second morning I did not want to come, but my mom said “Be honest is very important to a person”. I thought I had to finish my task because that was my task, nobody and do it for me. I can not give up it. So I went to the community, Mr.Li seemed very happy maybe he saw I was not gave up. Latter, I went to the room and took some tools by myself and started to clean seriously. After one hour, I finished today’s task. I was very pleased to saw my work. A little progress happened.
About this volunteer work, I think I gained too many things, such as how to do the clean work, never give up and knew the true meaning about “volunteer”. You must very selfless and warmhearted. If you are very interested in this work, or you can not do it better. Whatever any work, if you try your best, seriously and you are very interested in, you will finish the work perfect and without any word.
Another question I found during this time was our environment was becoming more and more dirty. Maybe they do not realize our environment is very important but it is becoming more and more terrible. I hope they can understand this question as soon as possible.
Children in China, most of them do not help their families or other people do something that easily. Because the parents and teachers even the children think study is the most important thing in students’ life. Maybe some children become study machines; it means they just know study and study. They even do not know how to tie the shoelaces. The stupid thoughts kill them. In this new century, the excellent students should not only study well but also know how to relax themselves. This is very important. And I think the excellent must have warmhearted. They can do the volunteer job well.
In the future, I think I will be a volunteer try my best. And always be pleasant to help other people. Sometimes, you will become happy and happiness when you help some people, just like the “pay it forward”.
